This means we always perform with musicians who know and trust each other, but we also have the flexibility to adapt if something unexpected happens. Life throws surprises at all of us—illness, travel disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances—but because we work as a team, we always make sure your ceilidh runs smoothly.

They read the room, keep things fun and inclusive, and make sure every dancer feels confident, whether they’re a complete beginner or a ceilidh pro. • A separate mic for the bass end of the accordion, adding a deep, driving sound to the mix that gives our ceilidhs a powerful, vibrant foundation.

• A stomp box for extra rhythm, giving our ceilidhs an irresistible groove and making the energy even more contagious on the dance floor.

• High-end PA systems and professional lighting, including sound-to-light party lights and customisable stage lighting that can match the theme of your event. These lighting effects not only enhance the atmosphere but also make the whole experience more immersive.

• Live sound processing with our Soundcraft UI16 mixing desk, allowing us to fine-tune the sound with reverb and EQ to fit any venue and ensure top-quality audio.

Additionally, band leader Kathryn Johnstone infuses each performance with her own foot-stomping tunes, crafted specifically for ceilidhs. These original compositions add a fresh burst of energy, bringing a unique and personal flair to every event. With her lively, toe-tapping melodies and rhythmic drive, Kathryn’s tunes transform every ceilidh into an unforgettable experience that gets everyone up on their feet, dancing and celebrating the night away!

Your Free Extras

We offer up to 4 hours of entertainment as standard (excluding setup and pack-down time, so you get a full 4 hours of entertainment). During the ceilidh dancing sets, we can include Highland bagpipes and DJ background music during breaks in our sets.

For example, if you choose two 45-minute sets, we’ll perform the first 45-minute set, take a break, then perform the second 45-minute set. After the second set, we can continue with a disco for the remaining time, if required. If there’s any time left after the ceilidh sets, you can enjoy more disco music, and if you wish to extend the disco further, this is available on a per-hour basis.

In most cases, the 4 hours will cover everything you need, but we can discuss additional options if required.
